Miyah Henderson graduated in 2020 with a Bachelors in Fine Arts in Commercial Dance with a Creative Writing minor at Pace University under the direction of Rhonda Miller. Miyah was raised in Atlanta, Georgia. She grew up as a serious competitive dancer in the Atlanta area. She has trained in Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Ballet, and Contemporary styles. Miyah has experience both as a performer and as a choreographer.
As a performer, Miyah has worked alongside Justin Giles in his contemporary company SoulEscape. She has also performed as a dancer in Chad McCall’s show “Mutual Coordinates”. Beyond being a dancer, Miyah is also an aspiring choreographer. She choreographed an original work for the 2019 Young Choreographer’s Festival directed by Emily Bufferd, and continues to showcase her work by choreographing competition routines all over the country.
